Coffee Rubbed Rib Eye Steaks

2 Boneless rib eye steaks - 1" thick +
Dry rub:
- 1 Tbs espresso - ground coffee
- 1 Tbs chile powder
- 1 Tsp natural cocoa powder
- 1 Tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 Tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 Tsp brown sugar
- 1/2 Tsp ground fennel seed
- 1/8 Tsp ground allspice
- Salt and black pepper

Combine all dry ingredients and rub steaks with mixture all over each steak.
Cover and let rest one hour at room temperature
Grill steaks over direct heat for 2-3 minutes per side
Move steaks to indirect heat and check internal temperature until it registers 125 degrees for medium rare
Remove steaks and let sit for 10 minutes

We paired this meal with some fresh corn on the cob, and pan roasted red and yellow new potatoes. 
The potatoes were simply tossed in olive oil and salt and pepper and then pan roasted over medium heat for approx 20 min til crisp on outside and tender on inside

I suggest the 2010 Grenache with this meal. Enjoy!
